H.H.C. Group is proud to welcome Patrick J. Fabrizio as our new Business Development Account Manager. His appointment strengthens our ability to engage healthcare payors, develop new partnerships and connect more organizations with practical, human-led approaches to medical cost containment.
Patrick brings more than 10 years of combined consultative experience across healthcare, insurance, sales and entrepreneurship. Having worked with fully insured and self-insured plans, brokers, TPAs, PBMs, health carriers and employer groups, he understands how financial pressures, plan decisions and operational challenges intersect. Just as important, he knows how to turn that understanding into clear recommendations and lasting client relationships.
A Strong Foundation in Account Management and Benefits Strategy
At CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Patrick managed 120 fully insured employer accounts with 51 to 500 employees and helped develop renewal and plan-design strategies across a portfolio exceeding $25 million. His work contributed to more than $20 million in cumulative client savings through plan redesign, while his portfolio achieved a client-retention rate above 95%.
His responsibilities extended well beyond sales. Patrick coordinated complex medical, prescription, dental and vision plan installations, managed enrollment processes and worked closely with employers, brokers and internal teams. That breadth of experience gave him a practical understanding of how benefit strategies move from initial planning through implementation and ongoing client support.
Patrick later served as an Implementation Manager at PBIRx, where he managed pharmacy benefit initiatives for self-insured employer groups. Working alongside actuaries, consultants, clinicians, pharmacists, brokers, TPAs and PBMs, he helped implement clinical programs, manufacturer assistance strategies and other solutions designed to reduce pharmacy spend, particularly for high-cost specialty medications.
An Entrepreneurial Approach to Client Needs
Patrick also founded Fabrizio Drum Co., a custom hardware business developed in response to an unmet need among touring and professional musicians. Building the company required him to oversee product development, manufacturing, marketing, communications and fulfillment while strengthening relationships with performers, educators and other industry professionals.
Although the market was different, the underlying approach remains relevant. Listen closely, identify the problem, develop a practical response and continue improving it based on client needs.
Why Patrick's Experience Matters to H.H.C. Clients
Medical claims can involve financial, clinical and administrative questions that require more than a standard transaction. Payors need partners who understand their challenges, communicate clearly and connect them with the appropriate resources before unnecessary costs become embedded in the claim.
In his new role, Patrick will expand H.H.C. Group's engagement with insurance companies, TPAs, self-insured plans, case management organizations, workers' compensation stakeholders and other healthcare payors. He will help prospective clients and partners understand how H.H.C.'s claim negotiation, repricing, medical bill review and independent review solutions address further misaligned claim pricing while supporting fair, defensible payments.
"I am excited to join H.H.C. Group and help healthcare payors address the financial pressure created by high-cost claims," Patrick says. "My career has centered on understanding client challenges, coordinating the right resources and building relationships that lead to measurable results. I look forward to bringing that approach to H.H.C. and the organizations we serve."
Bruce D. Roffé, P.D., M.S., H.I.A., President and CEO, H.H.C. Group, adds:
"Patrick understands healthcare from several important perspectives, including the employer, broker, carrier and benefits partner. His consultative experience and ability to build trust will strengthen our outreach and help more organizations access the cost-containment expertise they need."
Looking Ahead
As Business Development Manager, Patrick will carry forward H.H.C. Group's longstanding commitment to understanding each client's unique challenges and identifying solutions that help them better manage healthcare spend. By building relationships with current and prospective partners, he will help connect organizations with the right combination of H.H.C.'s cost-containment and independent review expertise to address their specific needs and deliver appropriate, measurable savings.
His appointment reflects H.H.C. Group's continued investment in experienced people who listen closely, understand the complexities behind healthcare claims and remain focused on finding practical solutions that deliver meaningful value for clients.
